Loud static noise when using speaker on Snom D785 with Wi-Fi adapter

We have two recently purchased Snom D785 .
Both suffer from the problem that when the internal speaker (and microphone) is activated, the callee hears very loud static noise, making it impossible to use this mode of the phone.
Phones are connected with power adapter to power, and with Wi-Fi USB adapters to the network. (Wi-fi chip: Realtek RTL8188 CUS.)
It seems like the built in microphone gets interference from the Wi-Fi adapter.
No sound issues when the regular handsets are used.
Firmware: snomD785-SIP 10.1.20.0 .
