Directory synchronization using XCAP

Hi,

I want to use directory synchronization using a single XML file, hosted on a file server. I noticed that SNOM can use a XCAP method to synchronize every minute, but cannot get it to work.

Which settings should I apply to set this up?

The file is stored at this public location: https://domain.tld/CCVShop/tbook.xml

At the Identity 2 SIP setting I tried using the documentation (), but I cannot figure out which section of the URI should be placed at which setting.

Also I don't know if this hosting supports this kind of request. Why isn't there just a way to connect to a public XML file?

There are no options from the Web User Interface to configure the xcap settings on the phones. You would need to either provision those settings or use the HTTP GET method to configure each phone individually.

However, if your Provider that is provisioning your phone has write protected the xcap settings via the READ ONLY permission flags ("&", "R", " "), then you may unable to modify and configure them using HTTP GET request method.

I found a way to integrate a XML directory also, but I cant find the way to setup my SNOM phone on the supplied URL?

Thanks Sean.

I got it working with an Action URL linked to a public XML file. Even with a PHP file (generating the XML dynamically to do some sorting and easy management) its working fine. The issue remaining is that when someone is calling, the number is not lookup at the directory. After all the directory is now empty.

According to the SNOM documentation (http://wiki.snom.com/Features/tbook-xcap-synchronization) XCAP is a method to synchronize the directory. I still have the question how to set this up at the webinterface of my phones.

The phones are already auto provisioned by our IP provider. Is it possible to load an additional auto provision file without interfering with the original settings of our provider??

Or when I want to use the XML directory, how can I implement this? Where can I find the setting files. I think it is out of my capabilities to setup a provisioning server.
