Our vendor just told us that the wall mounts for the Snom 7xx phones has been discontinued. Is this true? Will there be a replacement?

Hello Alan,
yes, thats right: the 7xx wall mount is now discontinued and was never produced for the D7xx (the black line).
Anyway you can fix the phone to the wall easily without the wall mount, just removing the stand and the 2 small guides on the back (you will need a screwdriver).

This is too bad.
Wall mounting the phone using the slots on the back of the phone is a HUGE PAIN.
You have to get the holes exactly right or the phone will not mount. It is even more challenging when mounting on a masonry wall.
Another issue is that without the wall mount the phone sits flat against the wall whereas the wall mount angles the phone a bit for easier viewing.
With the phone sitting flat against the wall the handset is easily knocked off by the slightest vibration.
There are so many reasons why the wall mount is useful. I can't think of any reasons why such a useful accessory would be discontinued.
