Snom M700 Base Station has another mfg firmware loaded

I bought the Snom base Station for one of my clients and while ive installed several of these over the past few months i recieved a M700 with a non Snom Firmware . the base station is branded SNOM but the firmware states it is for SME VoIP and does not allow me to enter codec priority nor can i register the 2 m65 handsets i have to it
i need help getting the firmware restored back to something usable

Jorg,
You will need to RMA this device with your Reseller or Distributor. This device cannot be recovered or upgraded in the field and must be repaired or replaced with an RMA.
I've the same problem with a snom M325 and the firmware "SME VoIP". I also need help getting the snom-firmware restored back to something usable
