MJPG in SnomIPPhoneImageFile/SnomIPPhoneMenu

Hey Guys,

We're close to deploy round about 50 SNOM Phones in our Company. We have a lot of security cams around our building and we wan't to make some of them available through the phones.

It works if i choose a function key and set the Action-URL to:

http://xxxx/axis-cgi/mjpg/video.cgi?camera=1&resolution=320x180#mjpg

But since we have a lot of cameras i thought i could use the xml SnomIPPhoneMenu feature to make a menu. But when i set the exact same Action-URL in the <URL></URL> XML Node just nothing happens. I also tried to link to an video.xml where i put an SnomIPPhoneImageFile XML but same problem, nothing happens.

With an static jpg image it works. So it seems that the mjpg only works when i directly configure the function key to open an Action-Url.

That would be very sad :(

Best Regards

Hi Nicolai

Could you post your xml example in order to check?

Which firmware are you using right now?

Thanks

Alberto

Hey Alberto,

Thanks for that fast reaction.

First i tried the CamURL directly in the Menu:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<SnomIPPhoneMenu>
 <Title>Video Menu</Title>
 <MenuItem>
  <Name>Empfang</Name>
  <URL>http://xxxxxx/axis-cgi/mjpg/video.cgi?camera=1&resolution=320x180#mjpg</URL>
 </MenuItem>
</SnomIPPhoneMenu>

Then i tried a seperate video.xml where the menu is linking to:

video_menu.xml

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<SnomIPPhoneMenu>
 <Title>Video Menu</Title>
 <MenuItem>
  <Name>Empfang</Name>
  <URL>http://10.10.105.67:8888/video.xml</URL>
 </MenuItem>
 <MenuItem>
  <Name>Kundeneingang</Name>
  <URL>http://xxxxxxx/axis-cgi/mjpg/video.cgi?camera=1&resolution=320x180#mjpg</URL>
 </MenuItem>
</SnomIPPhoneMenu>

 video.xml

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<SnomIPPhoneImageFile>
<LocationX>00</LocationX>
<LocationY>00</LocationY>
<URL>http://xxxxxxx/axis-cgi/mjpg/video.cgi?camera=1&resolution=320x180#mjpg</URL>
</SnomIPPhoneImageFile>

 also tried the <fetch /> node in video.xml

I'm not sure about the firmware version. I can tell you tomorrow when im back in the office.

Thanks

Nicolai

Oh wow, now it works direct in the menu.xml.
I can choose the camera in the menu, but i have to cancel the menu twice to come back to the dashboard with the cam as background. Is there a parameter for URLs to close the Menu after selecting an entry?

Current video_menu.xml
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<SnomIPPhoneMenu>
 <Title>Video Menu</Title>
 <MenuItem>
  <Name>Kundeneingang Neu</Name>
  <URL>http://xxxxxx.21/axis-cgi/mjpg/video.cgi?camera=1&amp;resolution=320x180#mjpg</URL>
 </MenuItem>
 <MenuItem>
  <Name>Innen Eingang</Name>
  <URL>http://xxxxxx.22/axis-cgi/mjpg/video.cgi?camera=1&amp;resolution=320x180#mjpg</URL>
 </MenuItem>
 <MenuItem>
  <Name>Empfang</Name>
  <URL>http://xxxxxx.23/axis-cgi/mjpg/video.cgi?camera=1&amp;resolution=320x180#mjpg</URL>
 </MenuItem>
 <MenuItem>
  <Name>Kamera-Ansicht Beenden</Name>
  <URL>http://xxxxxx.23/axis-cgi/mjpg/video.cgi?camera=1&amp;resolution=320x180#mjpg_stop</URL>
 </MenuItem>
</SnomIPPhoneMenu>

Thank you!

Nicolai

Firmware is 8.9.3.46

Hi Nicolai,

unfortunately there is no way to automatically close the minibrowser after selecting a menu entry.
