When a customer calls the magazines-phoneline, I would like the calltaker to see a message in the display (context area) that the customer has dialed the magazines-phoneline: ‘magazines’.
We have configured the PBX-software in such a way that the incoming phoneline will be given an extra label in the FROM-field of the SIP-message. We would like to see that this label in that FROM-field is being displayed on the Snom IP Phone.
Anonimised example (part of the trace) of the FROM-field in the Invite SIP-message: From: magazines <sip:31881234567@190.5.186.9>;tag=4lqfevg72ktfr5ib.o P-Asserted-Identity: 31881234567 <sip:31881234567@190.5.186.9> Remote-Party-ID: 31881234567 <sip:31881234567@190.5.186.9>;party=calling
We found out that the Snom phone displays the label from either the P-ASSERTED-IDENTITY-field and/or the REMOTE-PARTY-ID-field. We would like the Snow phone to use the label from the FROM-field.
We use the same configuration with IP Phones from Cisco and Yealink. These other phones will display the name of the incoming phoneline (Books or Magazines) in the display, without the need to change a default setting in these phones.
So far we have been unable to have the same kind of behaviour on the Snom phone. Is it possible to let the Snom IP Phone use the label from the FROM-field ?

Hi,
there is an option to disable the p-asserted idetity setting:
This can be achieved by changin the default value of those internal settings. Use either provisioning or
HTTP GET requests in order to change this setting. For the latter you
would need to enter the following URL in a browser

Hi,
there is an option to disable the p-asserted idetity setting:
set this setting to off prioritise_asserted and ignore_asserted_in_gui to on!
This can be achieved by changin the default value of those internal settings. Use either provisioning or HTTP GET requests in order to change this setting. For the latter you would need to enter the following URL in a browser
http://phoneIP/dummy.htm?settings=save&{setting_name}=on/off
example:
http://phoneIP/dummy.htm?settings=save&prioritise_asserted=off
