Settings/http_scheme

Hi,

We are trying to set up some basic security for the HTTP password for mass provisioning. I was just wondering what the http_scheme setting actually did? It does not seem to have any affect on the password that is added to the http_pass field. For example, if we enter in a 'hashed password' after setting this field to digest, it does not accept the plain text password only the hashed value.

Any clarification would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Hello,

the http_scheme setting changes the HTTP server authentication mechanism: you can enable digest authentication (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digest_access_authentication).

You client (browser ? ) must support such mechanism..
