PA1 Setup and Configuration w/ Lync 2013 Environment

We have an enterprise Lync 2013 environment here. The network administrator has purchased this SNOM PA1 device and asked me to configure it to work with the Lync environment so that people can call it and make announcements over the speaker system in the building. We have no idea what to do. Is there a step-by-step guide that explains exactly how to setup and configure this with Lync 2013 to act as an announcement system in a business setting like ours? I keep reading about a UC firmware, and even though I was able to access the download area, I don't know how to upgrade the device with a bin file locally. Any help or documentation on just getting this device working in a basic manner would be most appreciated.
To upload this file to my Snom PA I had to host this file internally on an http server with no security and point the Snom at the internal http link. That worked for me.
Same situation. I downloaded it, it "acts" like it updates and everytime, I get this
snomPA1-SIP
no the UC edition like the phone,
reading the firmware update info it says "jump pin 1 and pin 0" what in the heck does that mean?

Tech support on Twitter, Facebook, and on this website was no help. I don't think they are open during business hours here in America. When they did contact me it was difficult to understand what they meant, and they never followed up. We had to figure it out entirely on our own. Download the free UC edition firmware, setup IIS on your Win10 machine, drop the bin file into the root, and then update the device locally. Once I did all of that, we were able to update it, assign it a username in Lync and now it is in production as our PA system. It really begs the question why the Wiki and forums are full of thousands and thousands of pages of information when it really is just a very simple operation to make the thing work in your Lync environment. Those few simple steps could be easily written at the top of the firmware Wiki, for instance. I'm guessing the techs and workers at this company are very territorial and become annoyed when they have to explain technology they already know. Just a poor experience all around. Good luck!

I just tried Ronnie's solution and it worked for me too. My guess is its because login details are needed to access the UC firmware files on Snom's website and so the device fails to acquire the firmware file.

About this firmware, i would mention PA1 & UC FW is 100% on your own risk! it was never tested, never certified, never officially supported!
Have a nice day
